How to Care for Your Custom Sublimated Jersey

Your custom sublimated jersey is built to last — but like any performance fabric, it stays looking sharp longer when you care for it the right way. Here’s how to keep your team’s colors, logos, and numbers looking as good as the day they arrived.

1. Wash in cold water
Always wash your jersey in cold water (30°C or below) rather than hot. Heat can cause the fabric to shrink slightly and, over time, dull the vibrancy of sublimated prints.

2. Turn it inside out before washing
This small step protects the printed surface from friction against zippers, buttons, or other garments in the wash, keeping graphics crisp for longer.

3. Skip the fabric softener
Fabric softener leaves a residue that can affect moisture-wicking fabric, making it feel heavier and less breathable during play. A mild detergent is all you need.

4. Air dry, don’t tumble dry
High heat from a dryer is one of the fastest ways to damage sublimated print and stretch performance fabric out of shape. Hang your jersey to air dry instead — it takes a little longer, but it protects both the fit and the print.

5. Never iron directly on the print
If you need to remove wrinkles, iron on a low setting from the inside of the garment, or place a cloth between the iron and the printed surface.

6. Store it flat or on a hanger
Folding jerseys tightly for long periods can create creases in the fabric. When possible, hang them or store them flat to keep them ready for game day.

Since every jersey we make is fully sublimated — not screen printed — the design is embedded directly into the fabric fibers rather than sitting on top. That means with the right care, your custom uniform will hold its color and shape season after season.
